Getting Started

Setting Up Your Profile

When you first open drinkdrank, enter your weight, age, gender, and activity level. The app will calculate your personalized daily hydration goal based on this information.

Logging Water Intake

Select the amount and tap the "Log" button or tap "Custom" to enter any amount. Your water glass visualization will update in real-time.

Setting Up Reminders

Open Settings and configure your reminder preferences. Choose intervals of 1, 2, or 3 hours, and set your wake and sleep times to avoid notifications during rest.

Apple Watch & Widget Setup

The Apple Watch app syncs automatically. For widgets, long-press your home screen, tap the "+" button, search for "drinkdrank," and choose your preferred widget size.

HealthKit Integration

Grant HealthKit permissions in Settings to sync your water intake with Apple Health. This allows drinkdrank to read existing water data and write your logged intake.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my goal different each day?

Your hydration goal adjusts based on climate conditions and your activity level. Hot weather or more exercise increases your daily target.

What is the Water Safety Monitor?

This feature prevents water intoxication by warning you if you're drinking too much too quickly (more than 1 liter per hour). You can disable it in Settings if preferred.

How do I change between metric and imperial units?

Open Settings and toggle between milliliters/liters and fluid ounces. Your data will automatically convert.

How does iCloud sync work?

If you're signed into iCloud, your data automatically syncs across all your Apple devices. This happens in the background and requires no setup.

Can I delete past entries?

Yes! Tap the "Report" icon to view your records. Tap on the trash icon on the entry to delete it.
